This form can be used to seek permission to attend a proceeding in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) by phone or video.

    2. You need to be a party to the matter

      A party is an individual, corporation or other entity that:

      • has started a tribunal proceeding
      • has had a tribunal proceeding started against them
      • has later joined a tribunal proceeding
      • is an active party* (for certain guardianship/administration proceedings).

      * Generally, an active party includes the adult subject of the application, the applicant, any proposed guardian or administrator, a current guardian or administrator, the Public Guardian or Public Trustee, and any other person joined to the proceeding.

      A case number is a reference number that may also be called a claim or file number. For example, MCDT001/15, MCDO001/15, BDL001/15, NDR001/15, or GAR001/15.
