Neighbourhood disputes (dividing fences and trees)

This search will be limited to proceedings that relate to disputes between neighbours,as proceedings commenced under the following Acts:

  • Building Act 1975, Chapter 8, Part 2A (dividing fences that are also pool barriers)
  • Neighbourhood Disputes (Dividing Fences and Trees) Act 2011
  • Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2009, Chapter 2, Part 1, Division 2 (minor civil disputes for debt or liquidated demand of money related to dividing fences or trees)

Retail shop leases

This will conduct a search of retail shop lease proceedings only, and you can request a search on the name or address.

Seller disclosure information search

This search assists buyers and sellers of property identify tribunal records relevant to the information required for a seller disclosure statement.

This search will be limited to the following matter types:

  • Minor Civil Disputes inclusive of:
    • Neighbourhood disputes (dividing fences and trees) commenced under the Building Act 1975, Chapter 8, Part 2A (dividing fences that are also pool barriers); Neighbourhood Disputes (Dividing Fences and Trees) Act 2011 and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2009, Chapter 2, Part 1, Division 2 (minor civil disputes for debt or liquidated demand of money related to dividing fences or trees).
    • Residential tenancy matters commenced under the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (Qld).
    • Consumer/trader disputes including matters commenced under the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2009, Chapter 2, Part 1, Division 2; Motor Dealers and Chattel Auctioneers Act 2014 & Fair Trading Act 1989. 
  • Queensland Building and Construction Commission review matters commenced under the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991.
  • Building dispute matters, inclusive of matters commenced under the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 and the Building Act 1975.
  • Retail shop lease matters commenced under the Retail Shop Leases Act 1994.
  • Community living and body corporate matters inclusive of:
    • Body Corporate and community management matters commenced under the Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997.
    • Retirement village disputes commenced under the Retirement Villages Act 1999.
    • Manufactured home park disputes commenced under the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Act 2003.
