MCD Case Lookup Tool Decommissioned from 4 August 2025
Please be advised that the Minor Civil Dispute (MCD) Case Lookup Tool will be permanently decommissioned on 4 August 2025. After this date, the tool will no longer be available to check case status.
How to check your case status
- If your case was lodged via QCase with a case number like 'Qxxx-xx', please log in to the QCase Online Portal to view the current status of your case: QCase Online Portal
- If your case was lodged before QCase with a case number like 'Mxxxxxxx/xx' or cannot locate your case, please contact QCAT directly: Contact QCAT

This online service allows people to see when their hearings are scheduled, what documents have been lodged and what decisions have been made. THIS SERVICE WILL NOT APPLY TO YOU if you lodged your case via QCase. For cases lodged in QCase (after 6 March 2023 for Brisbane-based cases, or after 17 June 2024 for those outside of Brisbane) please use the QCase portal to to view your case information and documents.
Quick tips
Available Cases – minor civil disputes where the application was lodged after July 2018 and NOT lodged via the QCase online portal.
Excluded Cases – any cases where the Tribunal has decided that certain information cannot be published, or cases such as objectionable behaviour matters for residential tenancy disputes. These types of disputes will not be displayed.
Information Available – the type of information available includes the names of the people or businesses involved, when hearings are scheduled and what documents* have been lodged. *Note: not all documents will be displayed including general emails or correspondence.
