QCAT fees clarified with regulation changes

QCAT fees regarding counter-applications, appeals and photocopying will be clearer from 12 December.

The changes include the following:

  • the introduction of a filing fee for counter-applications as per current application fees
  • a reduced fee for filing an appeal when there is financial hardship
  • copying fees for documents produced to QCAT with exemptions for the human rights division; parties can still inspect documents free of charge
  • consistently applying a fee for an application to stay a decision during an internal review.

These changes commence on 12 December.

See our fees and allowances page for specific changes. If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact us.
