Brisbane building upgrades 2016-17

Foyer refurbishment works at QCAT’s 259 Queen St, Brisbane location are nearing completion with changes to building access from Monday 10 April 2017.

These works started in October and have included:

    • deconstruction of the previous foyer
    • partial removal of the roof
    • respectful structural integration with Brisbane’s heritage-listed General Post Office
    • construction of the new foyer layout
    • re-installation of utilities such as electricity and lighting.

The refurbishment project is on track for April completion with improved access, security, services and facilities such as better signage and media screens, a concierge and site incorporation with the coffee shop next door.
