Brisbane building upgrades 2016-17

From early October 2016, the building that houses QCAT’s Brisbane office will be upgraded. These works are expected to run until April 2017.

Works include upgrades to the foyer and lifts to improve access, security, services and facilities for people working in, or visiting, 259 Queen St. The following changes to QCAT building access are expected.

October 2016 to March 2017

Queen St entry closure, access via GPO Lane

Glass wall removal on GPO side of building and roof extension

Permanent stairs and disability access lift from GPO Lane installed

Foyer and lift interior appearance upgrades, including some lift delays

Concierge established

New media screens and directory boards installed

Foyer appearance upgrades

Progressive lift refurbishment

March to April 2017

There will be signage to direct you in and out of the building. Our premises will be accessible for people with disabilities throughout the upgrade process.
