G20 public holiday in Brisbane

The G20 summit will be held in Brisbane from 15 to 16 November 2014.

Public holiday: Brisbane registry closure

Friday, 14 November 2014 will be a public holiday for people who work in the Brisbane local government area. The Brisbane QCAT registry counter and phone services will close at 4.30pm on Thursday, 13 November 2014 and reopen at 8.30am on Monday, 17 November 2014.

QCAT hearings from 10-17 November in Brisbane

Due to heightened security measures in the Brisbane CBD, from 10-17 November QCAT will hear urgent matters only at the Brisbane registry. Wherever possible, hearings and mediations may be conducted over the phone.

The registry will continue to operate as normal and the reception area will be open as usual, with the exception of the public holiday on Friday, 14 November 2014. Normal operations will resume from Tuesday, 18 November 2014.

Outside of Brisbane

The scheduling of QCAT matters outside of the Brisbane CBD will not be affected.
